This morning Geoff and I set off from Clogher Head and paddled to Balbriggan where my brother in law’s, in laws live (if that makes sense).
We were met on the beach by Mary, Ciara and Daire, who arrived with a cup of tea and a bacon, egg and sausage roll! The perfect stop.

It was wonderful to meet Andy & Geoff today on Balbriggan Beach these men are an inspiration for everyone they have battled their way around Ireland in their kayaks just a pity they didn’t make it here in the evening where they could have had a meal & a comfy bed for the night never next time well done lads Eric Mary Ciara Daire & the rest of the family who had to work.
Hi Mary, Eric, Daire, Ciara – it was great to see you too. Such a treat being met on the beach by a familiar face and with a cuppa and bacon roll! Set us up nicely for the afternoon and evening paddle. Just landed at Howth Head. Sorry Eric we didn’t see you – look forward to catching up soon over a Guinness. Andy
